I don't think that the words, "I am an artist," could quite explain everything, so we'll start quite simply from the beginning; with little five year old me.
See, my parents wanted me to play the piano, and so, that's what I did. I don't think they really expected too much to come out of it, me being so young and all, but I started to write songs quickly, even if they were just simple ones with four chords. Then, from writing and playing, I started to sing, and from there I started to combine all three.
For as long as I can remember, everything that I really like, I find myself wanting to be good at it, and the things I like are almost always related to art in some way. I started drawing - realism and cartoons. I started writing - poems and stories. And then, eventually, I realized that there was another way to capture and keep the things I loved about the world, and that was photography. I've always loved working with things as naturally as I can - natural light, shooting outdoors. I think that photography has not only helped me keep memories with me, but helped me see the world in a more colorful and vibrant way than I ever could have without it, and I'm thankful for that.
